The Action Committee for Tourism (ACT) is an incorporated non-profit, all volunteer organization. More than 4 million visitors come to Ocean Shores each year to enjoy our ocean beaches, inland lakes, canals and numerous fun-filled events. Our primary purpose is to plan, promote, and present family-oriented activities and events that make visiting Ocean Shores a more memorable experience. The events also bring tourists to Ocean Shores to stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants, and shop in our shops, mainly during the off season.
Just a few of the events that A.C.T. sponsors are the Antique and Collectible show in Feb., the Flag Day Dance in June, The Five Star Dealerships Sand and Sawdust Festival in June, and the Independence Day Picnic in July. In addition, we are in our second year of developing and presenting "Country Music Jam" in May and "Paddle the Shores", a kayak & canoe event that takes place each September, and are involved in numerous other community activities.
This website provides descriptions, schedules of activities, admission fees, etc. for our events. If you would like to attend, participate or apply to become a vendor, this site will have the necessary forms for you.
